Our History

Pine Tree Networks has been a part of Maine for over 115 years. From this tradition, we continue to provide reliable and affordable telecommunications including local dial tone, long distance, high-speed broadband Internet access and other related services to all our markets and customers in a friendly and responsive manner.

Experience - Reliability - Attentiveness

In Maine, Pine Tree Networks roots include Pine Tree Telephone and Telegraph, founded to serve Gray and New Gloucester in 1899, and Saco River Telegraph and Telephone, serving Buxton, Hollis, and Waterboro beginning in 1889.

Since joining the Country Road Communications family of companies in early 2000, Pine Tree Networks has grown into a multi-faceted, multi-state company providing state-of-the art services to residential, business, and wholesale customers in Greater Portland, Lewiston/Auburn, Gray, New Gloucester, Buxton, Hollis, and Waterboro Maine, as well as Granby, Massachusetts, and War, West Virginia.

Working from our headquarters at Pineland Farms in New Gloucester and service centers in Maine, Massachusetts, and West Virginia, over 100 employees apply their extensive knowledge and years of industry experience to assure that customers receive modern services with old-fashioned respect and friendliness.

For Pine Tree Networks, this means listening to customers, attending to their needs quickly and kindly, consistently investing in technological and infrastructure improvements, providing clear and flexible service choices as well as integrated package solutions, and perhaps most importantly, being an active and ongoing participant in the communities they honor and serve.
